KITCHEN CUISINE

Nadia Raja was born in Lahore in 1961. She is married and has 4 children. She is a graduate and a self taught restaurant and patisserie entrepreneur chef.

             

In 1988 Nadia started Kitchen Cuisine as a hobby from her home kitchen in Islamabad, hence the name Kitchen Cuisine. She gained recognition initially by her now famous cheese cakes and steadily kept adding new products. It is now a family business, run by Nadia and her husband with eight outlets in the major cities of Pakistan, these being Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Faisalabad.

 

A continental restaurant which also serves local Barbeque was started in 2000 with a seating for 50. Progressively this has been enhanced to the current capacity of 150 at KC Grill.

 

An outdoor catering unit serving upscale customers having capacity for a sit down dinner for upto 200 persons.

 

Some of the more visible events that we have covered are;

 

National Day receptions for European Union.

Private dinners hosted for the President.

International and Government seminars etc.

 

In 1999, Kitchen Cuisine at short notice provided lunch boxes under United Nations charter to a hi-jacked Indian Airliner at Kandahar, Afghanistan. This service got Kitchen Cuisine worldwide publicity curtsey BBC, CNN etc

 

First Women Bank Limited (The first and only bank for women entrepreneurs) mentioned Kitchen Cuisine a client ably supported which has become a brand name in their coverage in Fortune Magazine April 2005.

 

Among other achievements of  note are ; country wide contractual relationship with Pizzahut to supply Desserts. A contract supplier to Unilever for their Ice cream Division ‘Walls’. Joint participation with Airblue a private airline in setting up a flight kitchen serving 1200 meals daily.
